That Was The Week, That Was - 26th September 2025
Community is so important to us here at The Stanway School. As we ran our Open Evening last night, we got so many examples of just how important community is …
Our students were amazing! They really are the best advocates for our school and everything we do. More than 250 students volunteered to give up their evening to guide prospective pupils round our school or help their teachers showcase each subject. That number is just phenomenal! Not only that, the parents that had a tour were so very appreciative and impressed. You made us all proud!
Alongside the evening, it was also noted that a few of our old students also came along to our Open Evening, accompanying younger siblings who are about to start their Stanway journey. It was lovely to see them and hear how well they are doing in their latest adventures. Our Stanway community doesn't end when you finish Year 11. Once a Stanway student, always a Stanway student!
The evening itself was very busy, with hundreds and hundreds of families wanting to find out what it is like to be part of our Stanway community. It was so busy, we ran out of prospectuses! Notably, we had a number of families that live outside our catchment area wanting to find out how they could get a place at our school. Our community is something special and more and more people want to be a part of it.
I must say, I couldn't be more proud!
It is a privilege to help lead this community, alongside every student, every staff member and every parent. Together, we are creating an experience that will live long in hearts and shape future successes.
What a community we have!
Have a lovely weekend
