Celebrating 10 Years of Soul Space at The Stanway School
We are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Soul Space within the School Library/LRC.
This area provides a quieter, more reflective environment for students during lunchtimes. With permanent activities and resources designed to encourage wellbeing, it is a dedicated space to help our students maintain a positive mindset.
A Decade of Wellbeing
Ten years ago this month, the original Soul Space was officially opened (January 2016) by the Bishop of Colchester, Roger Morris, alongside our former Chaplain, Beks, and our then-Headteacher (now Executive Headteacher), Jonathan Bland.
Originally located in the old LRC - which is now the Inclusion Hub - The Stanway School was proud to be one of the first schools in Colchester to introduce such a vital space.
What’s Coming Up?
Throughout the year, we will be hosting various promotions, resources and activities.
This February, we are focusing on Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself' which focuses on understanding emotions, building resilience and fostering a growth mindset.
